Brokers' Authority Age Requirements

Brokers often use “authority age” policies in determining whether the broker will engage with a motor carrier. These “authority age” policies differ from broker to broker.  For example, some brokers require that a carrier have their authority for at least 30 days, while other brokers require at least 90 days authority age for the broker to engage.

TrueNorth has learned about authority age policies from certain brokers. Please note that brokers can change their policies at any time; if you notice a broker has a different policy than what we've listed below, please email support@gettruenorth.com and we'll update our list. Brokers also sometimes make individual exceptions to their policies.
