But in the time it takes truckers to review and respond, the load may already be gone. Even exclusive loads pushed out on the TrueNorth app, loads can still go quickly given the thousands of carriers on our app. This isn’t just a frustration for TrueNorth users; it’s a universal problem for load bidding we’ve previously experienced in our own fleet. 

Carriers often compete for the same loads because they offer the best rates. With so many carriers competing for the same loads, truckers often find themselves wasting time pursuing opportunities that have already been claimed with no way of knowing they are gone. Often the only way to find out the status of a load is to call a broker until a response is received. 

This feedback has been consistent across the board, both in our own user research and through conversations with drivers across the industry. TrueNorth listened. That’s why we created Check Availability, a solution that tackles this widespread problem by giving truckers updated visibility into whether a load is still available.

Our new Check Availability feature tackles this problem head-on. Now, with just a quick check, you can see if a load is still available before investing time and energy in reaching out to a broker.

This feature builds off of our virtual dispatcher and Post a Truck features, where truckers can share their availability with brokers. Our partnering brokers then respond with loads through the TrueNorth team. Then check availability steps in to keep you updated on the load status. This closed-loop information cycle is where the real magic happens.

This level of transparency is exclusive to TrueNorth, reaffirming our commitment to making load booking smoother and easier for truckers.
